Ray Gun Revival was Site of the Week 13 June 2007 at SciFi.com
Welcome to Ray Gun Revival
Glad You Made It
If you're here, you've probably heard some of the rumblings or followed a breadcrumb trail of some sort.
What is Ray Gun Revival (RGR)? Just the best online source for golden age space opera going!
Couple state of the art web technology with the highest standards in literary quality, and you get RGR! The stories are throwback, golden age space opera, which is to say the best melding of fantasy and science fiction with a strong emphasis on character development and adventure.
What are we doing? We're attempting nothing less than re-invigorating space opera itself. Think of all that classic literature, from Doc Smith to Edgar Rice Burroughs to James Blish, and then think of more recent stuff from Star Wars (EP IV - VI, especially), Orson Scott Card to Lois McMaster Bujold to Joss Whedon's Firefly, and you'll have an idea of what we're shooting for.
What can you expect?
Besides monthly issues of fiction and all that goes with space opera, we will be presenting serials published for the first time ever at RGR. Readers can look forward to new installments monthly, including brand new work from published author L. S. King and new serial stories from director / author / film reviewer Paul Christian Glenn, and Johne Cook.
If you have any questions, comments, story ideas, or submissions, feel free to drop us a line.
